These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) govern your access to and use of whatstarssay.com and any tools, calculators, and content available on it (together, the Site). The Site is operated by What Stars Say LLC (we, us, our).

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

The Site is intended for use by people aged 16 or over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are under 16, please do not use the Site without the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Permission to use the Site

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. This permission does not transfer any ownership to you and may be withdrawn at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system;
• introduce malware, or otherwise attempt to damage, disable, or impair the Site;
• use automated systems to place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices on the Site; or
• present output from our tools as medical, actuarial, insurance, or professional advice, whether your own or ours.

5. The tools are informational only

Our calculators produce estimates based on published population averages. They are provided for general information, reflection, and entertainment. They are not predictions about you, and they are not a substitute for professional advice of any kind. Section 8 and our Disclaimer apply in full to any output you receive.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Site, including text, layout, design, graphics, logos, and the selection and arrangement of that content, is owned by or licensed to What Stars Say LLC and is protected by intellectual property laws. The What Stars Say name and logo are our marks and may not be used without our prior written consent.

7. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control those third parties, we are not responsible for their content or their practices, and a link is not an endorsement. Your use of a third-party website is governed by that third party's own terms and privacy policy.

8. No warranties

The Site is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that any result will be accurate or reliable, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, What Stars Say LLC, its members, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless What Stars Say LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

11. Availability and changes to the Site

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Site without liability to you.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect when it is posted on this page, and the Last updated date above will change. Your continued use of the Site after a revision means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. The sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections 6, 8, 9, 10, and 14, will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site.

15. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
