Our lifespan figure is derived from published average life-expectancy statistics. Averages describe large populations. They do not describe individuals, and they cannot account for your genetics, medical history, environment, occupation, behaviour, access to healthcare, or luck.

Two people born on the same day will receive the same estimate from our tool, which should make the point plainly: the number is about a population, not about a person. It is not a countdown, a diagnosis, or a verdict.

Alongside the estimate we publish general wellbeing guidance on nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and social connection. This material is general in nature and is not calculated from, or tailored to, anything you enter.
